Toy Breeds:

These little pups often get overlooked in terms of exercise, but they are actually at a great risk of obesity. Toy breeds are perfect for smaller homes or apartments and generally do well with daily indoor exercise.

Flat Nose Dogs:

Dogs like Pugs and Bulldogs are at risk of overheating when exercising outdoors. Keep exercise light, take breaks, and don&rsquot exercise outdoors when it's hot or humid.

Terriers:

Terriers have a reputation of being very energetic, and do well with at least 60 minutes of exercise daily. Most enjoy a combination of running, fetching, and other intense work-outs.

Herding Dogs:

Herding dogs are some of the smartest breeds out there, which means they can get bored easily. These types of dogs have higher exercise needs and typically require multiple exercise sessions, as well as cognitive exercise.

Before choosing your new furry companion, do your research on how much exercise the breed requires. Remember, each dog is different. Age, lifestyle, and personality are all factors!
